After trying about every way you can imaging during the time I've been restoring cars, I find out that simple is better, we've used the strongest de-greasers, high pressure washers, and we learned on the nova that we're restoring right now, that simple is better. You'd think that a high pressure washer would be the best way to go, or high strength De-greasers, but we learned on this car that elbow grease and good old clothes washing detergent was the best way to get it ultra clean, yes it does take a bit longer, but it does.
