Odds have it they did! Very few people are walking around announcing “Hey, I want to join a Network Marketing Company!” Yet at some point in our lives we say yes to someone else’s MLM company. Someone else’s dream. Most of us join with enthusiasm and excitement; we place our ladder against their tree and start climbing upwards to pick the fruit of financial freedom. The Dream is big! Holding nothing back, you follow the system to a “T”. Month 1 goes by, then month 2 and 3 etc. You tell yourself, “If they can do it I can too!” You have learned how to deal with negativism and rejection. By now you have sold some of your closest friends and family your dream and possibly some stranger that has become or is on the way to becoming a really good friend. You have made some money. Not the millions you’ve been dreaming of but some money. You find yourself wondering after a year or two, why isn’t it working for me?…Was this you?
It was me! In my quest for more information about the industry of Network Marketing, I learned;
Every system out there works when the timing is right; there are always some networkers who make serious, silly money in each company.
That most every successful networker succeeded only when they signed on with a network marketing company of their choice.
Most seasoned successful networkers failed miserably when a network marketing company chose them.
Success often boils down to the difference of being chosen and choosing.
Every MLM at some point in their presentation stresses timing and positioning. “SECURE YOUR POSITION TODAY!” Have you actually studied the timing of your company vs. others? Why is it that so many distributors just assume the company that CHOSE them was concerned about their positioning? You were told, "you're at the right place at the right time." But were you? You have a responsibility to research the timing of your Future Company and choose your positioning. If you leave it up to your potential sponsor to make the decision, be prepared to live with the consequences which may lead you down the road I walked.
What is good timing and positioning?
It depends on what you’re looking to achieve. If you want to make a couple hundred bucks a month, any company with products or services that excite you is a fine venture. However, if you want to make serious silly money, take a good hard look at who is making that kind of income in your upline. Then ask; when did they get started? If they signed on within the last 6-12 months, I’d say that’s good timing. Provided they did not move an entire team with them. Now if they have been with the business longer than 2 years – are there people in between them and you that are on their way to making that kind of money. I mean you have seen steady rank advancement from multiple people every 2 – 4 months. Then I’d say there’s still some fire burning. Now if they have been around for 3 or more years and the people in between are just holding their ranks. I would start to question the timing.
EXAMPLE; my former upline making the kind of money I wanted, had been there for 5 years. But for over two years there was no movement in rank from my upline. In fact there was very little throughout the company. They had achieved their ranks and income because they had good timing and positioning!
Take a good look at the network marketing opportunity you are/were with and ask yourself. Did they choose me? How is the timing of my MLM Company, really?
Learn from someone who has walked away from a MLM company that chose me. And realized it was well worth it! If you are not achieving your financial goals, perhaps you leaned your ladder against the wrong tree. Look up- is there any fruit to still be picked.
